RateWave has received numerous requests from our clients over the past several weeks asking when the FMC is going to release the final rules in the NVOCC Tariff Rate Filing Exemption proceeding. The only answer we can provide is that the FMC has issued no order, scheduled no action, and is still considering the matter. This is despite the fact that both Chairman Lidinsky and Commissioner Dye in recent speeches have continued to list action on the proposed NVOCC Rule Making Exemption as a Commission high priority. RateWave will continue to monitor the issue on a daily basis and we will post updates as soon as any action is reported.
